I am looking for one volunteer from approximately 9 - 10am on Wednesday, March 21 (check with the teachers as the time gets closer for an exact schedule) to help with outfit changes. Please let me know if you are available to help tie a bow, straighten a collar, etc. for an hour or so that day.

If for some reason the weather is bad the date will be rescheduled.

Thanks so much for your help!

Garden Basket for Auction

It's that time of year again, and auction is just around the corner. This year our class is going to create a garden basket. We would appreciate if you could donate an item (plants, pots, chimes, garden tools, garden gloves, etc.) or if you prefer, cash (in an envelope marked "auction basket") to help make our basket a success. Please include your name with your item so that you can be entered in the drawing for a set of free tickets to auction or a $100 visa gift card (must be present to win the gift card).

If you donate another item or get a business to donate an item please write your name on the list in the office and your name will be entered in the drawing again.

Kids Fest costume makers? Do you sew?

Do you sew? I already have two volunteers to help sew costumes for the children for Kids Fest, but I would love a few more. We are still looking for a pattern for a Chinese shirt, but we have the fabric. If you (or a grandparent) would like to help sew Chinese shirts for Kids Fest please email me at dlstamant@gmail.com.

Thanks!
Dori

Christmas in China

Just a reminder that our class is studying China for Kids Fest. They celebrate Christmas with a "tree of light" and decorate it with paper flowers, lanterns and paper chains. The children are working on paper chains in class!

Here is more info on Christmas in China if you are interested: http://www.jackiechankids.com/files/Christmas_in_China.htm

Lids please

Please send a plastic or metal lid from a jar (peanut butter, jam, etc) in with your child so that he/she can create a holiday surprise.
