Merry Christmas!

Just a quick note to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Had a half day at school yesterday and, after the spelling test, we made the most awesome cupcakes! The kids had a great time making thier "snowmen" and playing games! Our children are so creative! They will have to tell you about it because there is no evidence that the snowmen existed except for the white frosting around everyone's mouth (Sindy was SO cute)!

Have a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy every moment with your family. See you in January, it will be here before you know it!

Christmas Concert

The Christmas concert is December 11, 6:30pm. Can you believe it is already here???!!! The 6-9 grades are responsible for providing paper products for the Christmas concert refreshments. The tablecloths have been purchased and we are asking for each student to send in $1 (or whatever you would like to donate) to cover the cost of plates, cups, and napkins. Any money left over will go toward needed items in the classroom. If you have any questions, just email me!

Updates!

Next week, the students will be decorating and filling the Christmas stockings for the troops. Thank you for all that has been delivered; if you haven't sent in your items yet, it is NOT too late! Please try to have your items in the classroom by Monday, November 16. The stockings will be turned in on November 20.

During the parent teacher conferences last week, you were given your food item to send in for the trail mix packages. These need to be in by Monday, November 16. Thank you again! This is a great community outreach project! If you are unsure of what to bring, call Mrs. Murray.

One more thing!!! On Thursday, November 19, we will be serving lunch for our class. Laura C. and I will be making a Pilgrim's Stew served with cornbread. You will not need to pack a lunch that day, but will need to pack a drink and snack. If any questions or would like to help, just send me an email (address listed to the right of the page).

Thanks again!

Finally!

Our class page is FINALLY ready for use! Lots going on right now and in the coming weeks, so stay in touch!

On the right side of our page, I have listed the items needed for our outreach project/Christmas stockings for our troops. Please keep these items in mind when you are doing your shopping. Send in your items as they are available. We are asking each family to do what you can. Every item is appreciated. The stockings have already been purchased and are ready for the kids to decorate.

In the FYI, you may have noticed that we are delivering PIES on Tuesday, November 24 to the senior housing development. We will actually be doing the same project as we did last year in making "trail mix" and delivering these instead of the pies. Mrs. Murray will be sending out a request about the items needed to assemble the mix.

Trying not to duplicate the information on the blog homepage...

Thanks again for everything you do!
